I work downtown at a large Medical School/ Teaching hospital. Thus I have a lengthy drive. About 48 miles round trip. I have spent the last 11 years being both an observer and a victim of traffic. And I don't understand it. There are those places that are all of a sudden just..... slow. No merges, no stalled car, no flaming auto. Just......slow. Then it is all fine again. So strange.
Or like today, when it is a snail's pace the whole way. I mean the whole way. I was 15 minutes late to martial arts class. I hate to be late.
And for no apparent reason...the traffic..was....just.......slow.
