Hope for the turtles

Sea turtles are one of my favorite marine critters. It is always a wonderful experience to see them when I go diving. The tsunami in December devastated Sri Lanka's nesting grounds of all five species of sea turtles. It was much feared that this would devastate the already endangered populations of these turtles. However, nature perseveres. The BBC reports that the turtles are returning to lay their eggs just as always. Hopefully, the tsunami will not have harmed the life cycle of the turtles after all.
