Ziziki's for late lunch

Some friends and I went to Ziziki's today for a late lunch and found, to our surprise, that it was a buffet/brunch-like menu only. We chose to stay and enjoy the pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and fresh even though we were late, about 1:30. The cold menu consisted of a Greek salad of cucumbers, tomatoes, purple onions, traditional stuffed dolmas, olive oil and feta cheese, excellent humus and bread, and spinach pastry. The hot offerings were pancakes, egg omelets, mushrooms in a brown sauce with onions, garlic roasted potatoes, baked chicken and beef tips with brown sauce, as well as two kinds of pasta. Dessert was either balaclava or chocolate cake. The cake was great, moist, not too sweet, and chocolate!
All in all, I would recommend this buffet. A surprise that turned out to be wonderful.
